The first time I read the translation of the Quran, I was about 15-years-old. By the grace of Allah (SWT,) I had come across the site given above. Literally, a whole new world opened up to me: before then, I followed Islam simply because my family is Muslim; we pray, fast, Etc. It did not appear to me (with the exception of lectures given by our religious teachers) why or the history of these procedures, if you will. Once I started reading the Quran, I was totally amazed and taken aback by its content. It is no joke! The content in the Quran is literally breath-taking! Allah (God) informs us about everything from what is forbidden for us to eat, what are apes, what is sperm, how we are created (from a strand (DNA!),) womens' periods, and so much more (yes, I am not joking around! I have read it all myself, ran my own fingers over it!) What is discussed in the Quran requires such a high level of intellect that if your goal is to corrupt the religion of Islam, you will be able to do it easily using the Quran! If you are reading for the correct intention though, be prepared to sit and analyze for hours! It will be automatic; you will not need to have a class "analyze this verse now."; you will immediately find yourself going "hmmm. wow!" when you read this book. It is highly informative. God hides nothing from us; everything is straightforward and out there. God speaks of marriage, how people should be greeted, and so much more; it is a world of scientific information packed in the Quran and here we are in Western society learning it in the 21th century? Bleh! Below, you will find my analysis for many verses in the Quran. Some verses will be grouped together into their own sub-heading for a thorough analysis.
It is easy to say that the Quran is a direct word of God; but what most people do not know is what exactly is in this book. Made up of 6666 verses divided into 114 chapters, 30 subsections, and 7 sections, the Quran quite literally contains all the scientific information known to man, and more. God describes the proper way of life, showing respect, how to greet each other, etc. Thus, the Quran can be referred to as a human's guidebook to a successful lifestyle. Topics range from birth, dominance, history, terms and conditions, sex, homosexuals, hell, heaven, life after death and before death, etc. This miracle direct from God can very well be used as a class textbook when studying philosophy, biology, anatomy, and so much more. The scientific information is extremely accurate in the Quran that it makes one wonder how such information was known during 1400 CE.
In the Christan faith, it is believed that Jesus is the son of God. Many times in the Quran, this is countered. God says himself that he does not have a son: he is too high for a son. In addition, when God refers to Jesus, he states "Jesus son of Marry." Why so? To let people know that indeed, Jesus is not God's son! Two verses worth looking at are 002.116:
They say: "Allah hath begotten a son" :Glory be to Him.-Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: everything renders worship to Him.
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
Allah also curses (as is implied in this verse) the participants of the Holocaust of 1940. In 022.040:
Those who have been expelled from their homes without a just cause except that they say: Our Lord is Allah. And had there not been Allah's repelling some people by others, certainly there would have been pulled down cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques in which Allah's name is much remembered; and surely Allah will help him who helps His cause; most surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.
This is one of the most fascinating things I found in the Quran. It is so amazing and breath taking I can barely express how I felt when I read it! Apes are humans! They were people who were cursed by an extreme curse, and Allah says "be apes." Aye, this is why apes are so close to human beings! Verse 002.065 proves this:
And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."
One of the things the teachings of the Quran stresses greatly is kindness. In one verse, God even specifies how one should be greeted! In verse 004.086, God specifies the method of greeting someone, and how it is done it totally amazing!:
And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with a better (greeting) than it or return it; surely Allah takes account of all things.
I am extremely amazed as to how many verses deal with sex, adultry, periods, masterbation, etc. Nothing is held back; as a matter of fact, I have several verses here which are worth reading. In verse 002.222, God speaks of a woman's period, and what should be done in terms of respect and gentlemanliness.:
And they ask you about menstruation. Say: It is a discomfort; therefore keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge and do not go near them until they have become clean; then when they have cleansed themselves, go in to them as Allah has commanded you; surely Allah loves those who turn much (to Him), and He loves those who purify themselves.
Right then, getting back to our analysis: menstruation is a monthly period of a woman when she is over nine years old; there is a discharge from the genitals. As you may know, it is an uncomfortable time for a female (according to the Quran (I do not know by experience since I am a male.)) However, God clearly defines the guidelines for males here: keep a distance from the females while they are in the process of this period. I really think the Western society needs to learn something from this; many males abuse this time and rape the females; right here, is the verse which proves this unlawful!
Atheism is the worst sin one can commit. I can never, and never will, be able to grasp how atheists can survive in the world. Throughout the Quran, God criticizes atheists for their ignorance. He goes as far as calling them "the worst of men." For instance, 098.006 reads:
Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; they are the worst of men.
Think about it: we feel insulted when we are put down in society; what right to we have then to stand strong after insulted by God himself? Analysis of this verse leads one to conclude that indeed, atheists should not be respected nor helped. They are the worst of the worst, lowest of the low.
Another verse relates to atheists what will be their experience on the day of judgement, commonly refered to in the Christian Catholic religion as "The Last Judgement." Verse 007.051 reads as follows:
Who take their religion for an idle sport and a play and this life's world deceives them; so today We forsake them, as they neglected the meeting of this day of theirs and as they denied Our communications.
In addition to this, God speaks extensively of those who are believers and do good in this world. Chapter 005.009:
To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward.
Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord.
In the Christan faith, the day of resurrection is commonly referred to as the last judgement. Surely the Quran speaks of it? In fact, there is a whole chapter dedicated to the last judgement! We shall now select specific verses from chapter 75: The Rising Of The Dead, Resurrection.
This chapter is one of the most influencing I have read. In it, God combines punishment of atheists and evil-doers with the resurrecting: he counters the statement "Once we die, we shall not be raised! I don't believe in a higher power than men!":
Does man think that We shall not gather his bones?
Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers.
Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to?
By no means! there shall be no place of refuge!
So he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray,
But called the truth a lie and turned back,
Then he went to his followers, walking away in haughtiness.
Nearer to you (is destruction) and nearer,
Again (consider how) nearer to you and nearer.
Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim?
And now, the following verse disapproves homosexuals, where God specifically states that he created two, not one!
Was he not a small seed in the seminal elements,
Then he was a clot of blood,
Then He made of him two kinds, the male and the female.
Is not He able to give life to the dead?
One thing I have never believed is the commonly known saying that "Only if you are Muslim will you be going to heaven," or the like of it, respecting Jews or Christans. During my perusal of the Quran I came across a verse which proves this statement totally false. Consider verse 002.111:
And they say: None shall enter the garden (or paradise) except he who is a Jew or a Christian. These are their vain desires. Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful.
Are we really, as some claim (I am not to sure whether it is in the Catholic faith or just some twisted teachings) sons of God? First of all, recall the verse mentioned previously where God says he does not have a son (referring to Jesus son of Marry.) I would now like to bring to your attention verse 005.018:
And the Jews and the Christians say: We are the sons of Allah and His beloved ones. Say: Why does He then chastise you for your faults? Nay, you are mortals from among those whom He has created, He forgives whom He pleases and chastises whom He pleases; and Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and to Him is the eventual coming.
Many believe that on the last judgement day, God will pardon every single soul. Nay, this is just some rubbish some one came up with to satisfy his own soul. As a matter of fact, God speaks of how atheists should be treated. Verse 005.033:
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;
Except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
God continues on to define the punishment of stealers. In the Middle East this punishment is still practiced; and look at the effects of it? Why is America (specifically) so corrupted? Blasted, if you steal, you go to jail which has its own computer and TV for you to watch! Verse 005.038:
And (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off their hands as a punishment for what they have earned, an exemplary punishment from Allah; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.
Back in the day, about once a year, one person would be stoned to death in small villages in order that the population of the village may remain in a reasonable range. The Quran clearly forbids this: stoning some one to death is not allowed. In addition, the Quran clearly forbids games of chance (being them card games, games which require tossing a coin, or lottery.) One more note: drinking is forbidden here as well, and it all ties into one fact: Satan's handwork it is! Verse 005.090 reads:
O you who believe! intoxicants and games of chance and (sacrificing to) stones set up and (dividing by) arrows are only an uncleanness, the Shaitan's work; shun it therefore that you may be successful.
God despises vegetarians harshly in the Quran; the argument is that if God did not forbid the meat of which you forbid yourselves, what reason do you have for not eating it? He states also that cattle has been made lawful for us to eat (as long as God's name has been said over it.) Thus, vegetarians are twisting God's word, if we look at it from this angle. Verses 006.143-144 read as follows:
Eight in pairs-- two of sheep and two of goats. Say: Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge if you are truthful.
And two of camels and two of cows. Say: Has He forbidden the two males or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah enjoined you this? Who, then, is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah that he should lead astray men without knowledge? Surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
God continues to inform us of that which he has forbidden, as 006.145 states very clearly:
Say: I do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine-- for that surely is unclean-- or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) Allah having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.
In otherwords, if an animal has been shot to death (whereupon blood will gush from it) or if it be infected, such as that the like of a pig, or if the name of God has not been invoked on it (in Islam, we declare, before pearcing the animal's skin, "In the name if Allah; Allah is the most beneficent, merciful",) it is not lawful for us to eat the animal.
Vegetarians are despised and condemned by the above verses simply because they eat no meat at all, even that which God has not forbidden. If he has given you this lawful food, why forbid yourselves of it? As a materialistic example, it is similar to some one offering me a brand new computer, the quickest and efficient of all computers, for $0.00 and I reject it.
President George W. Bush of the US has attempted to ban gay marriages. His statement made elusively to the media which many are not aware of, was that God has not meant for males to be attracted to males so much so that they end up marrying. Many, however, do not support this and claim "people should be able to love whomsoever they wish" (Anonymous.) Nay, those who claim this are overlooking the laws set down by God. It goes against common sense moral laws. Also, what happens if you put two North-pull magnets together? They repel each other. On the other hand, if you put together a North and a South-pulling magnet, they will attract each other. This is how genders are supposed to function, however, in the corrupted society of the world in which we live today, this is unfortunately not 100% true. Be warned, however, that God will soon do something about it, as he did before. This occurrence has happened before in history, and God has written about it in the Quran. It was during Lot's time, or Lut, as it is spelled in Arabic. Verses 007.080-084 state the following:
And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: What! do you commit an indecency which any one in the world has not done before you?
Most surely you come to males in lust besides females; nay you are an extravagant people.
And the answer of his people was no other than that they said: Turn them out of your town, surely they are a people who seek to purify (themselves).
So We delivered him and his followers, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind.
And We rained upon them a rain; consider then what was the end of the guilty.
The gays were, along with Lot's wife who was acting with malice, drowned. If this happened then, who is there besides God to say that it will not happen now? What is the Dead Sea; it is the city where the gays lived. Even till today the water is so dense that one can sit on the top of it.
